Ahmed Galaom - Sheba Microsystems Inc.

Ahmed Galaom is a Professional Engineer (P. Eng), working as the Director of Camera Engineering. His expertise spans 3D mechanical design, PCB layout, camera design and assembly, fabrication, rigorous testing, and management. He earned his MASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2016, specializing in designing and integrating miniature camera modules with MEMS actuators. During his master’s at the Mechatronics and Microsystem Design Laboratory, Galaom conducted groundbreaking research, resulting in the creation of the world’s first MEMS autofocus camera using lens barrel motion. His exceptional academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2013, where he received recognition as the best student in the Mechatronics Engineering Department. Currently, Galaom’s talents are instrumental as he leads and manages the assembly team while holding a prominent position in the management team at Sheba Microsystems.
