Ali Banss received a M.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2018. He conducted his research at the Mechatronics and Microsystem Design Laboratory at the University of Toronto, where he earned his master degree. During his studies, he designed and built a 3D force-based touchscreen for touch and force recognition in handheld devices. He received his Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics engineering from the International Islamic University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was awarded best student from mechatronics engineering department in 2014 class. He is specialized in MEMS devices with extensive experience in microfabrication, testing and validation. He is currently Leading the microfabrication team, and a management team member at Sheba.
